Photo Picnik!

About a year ago, I came across this site- Picnik.com. I use it almost daily- I love it! You can touch up photos, crop them, add a border, make them black and white, add some text, make a collage... you can do pretty much anything, and best of all, the site is FREE!

Most of the pictures on this blog go from my memory card to picnik.com to this site- I rarely post raw pictures because I am horrible at taking pictures to begin with!

When we got our piano earlier this year, I wanted to change out the boring old pictures I had bought from Bed Bath & Beyond that were hung above it and add a more personal touch by using pictures of my kids. I already had posed pictures framed in my family room, so I wanted something more abstact, yet something that still shows the personality or cuteness of each of them! Here is what I came up with- with the help of picnik.com.

1. I uploaded the following pictures of my kids:

Ethan

Leah

Ryan
2. I cropped each of them and flipped Ryans to the side.

3. I adjusted the color saturation.

4. I added a thin black vignette.

And this is what I got:

Ethan

Leah
Ryan

And here they are on display!

So that is my secret photo editing site. Not a secret any more- see, I am learning to share!
