My friend is having twins next month, a boy and a girl! (How fun!)
We had a shower for her last week and this was the gift I put together.
I went to WalMart and bought the following items:
. Baby Shampoo (the blue Johnson & Johnson No Tangles Shampoo- my favorite- smells fruity and delicious!
. 2 sets of Pacifiers, one blue set and one pick set
. 2 Rubber Duckies, 1 Blue & 1 Yellow
. Coordinating outfits, one pink and one blue
. Baby Q Tips
. Pink baby lotion
. 2 wipee Cases, 1 black polka dot and 1 pink polka dot wipee case that I made months ago
. Snap n' lock plastic bins These were on clearance for $2! And each of them had 2 smaller or 1 same size box included, so it was a double bonus!
I figured I could spend $3 on a gift bag and tissue paper, or I could spend $2 on a cute bin that the mom can reuse again! (And I get to keep the extra ones inside for something else!)
(Here is a close up of the cute outfits I got- only $6.50 each for a pant and hoodie set!)
Anyway, I put all the pink/purple things in the purple bin and all the blue/green things in the green bin, like so:
... and then I tied them up all cutsie...
...and that's it! I thought it turned out pretty cute!
This is darling!!
ReplyDeleteadorable...
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the you used the storage bins!
ReplyDeleteDarling! What a great idea to use storage bins. (I want to go find me some of those now, I love containers!)
ReplyDeleteMy friend is due with twins (a boy and a girl) next month too! It could be a different person, but do you know Jamie Dwiggins?
ReplyDeleteWish I was having twins!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute and a very useful gift.
ReplyDeleteLove this so much!!!!!!! I have a baby shower to go to in the near future I will use this idea thanks for sharing. You can never have enough containers!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Very cute...and you really blessed mom and dad!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm sending this idea to my sister as she has a neighbor that is having twins and was looking for a shower gift idea. Just have to share...I came across a new baby book called Dear Baby, What I love about you! It's about why we love babies and at the end you get to sign it so the child can see who enjoys reading to them. It's really adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute - and I think giving mom something she can use again for storage instead of a gift bag is a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteWaaaay cute!
ReplyDeletewhat a great (and practical!) idea! I am sure the mama loved it!
