This idea was originally posted on somewhat simple in October 2009 when I had like 2 followers. Now that my site isn't a baby anymore, let's see if we can get some more ideas linked up!
How many times have you made something and thought to yourself, "This was not intended to be this way!"??? A craft, a recipe, a home improvement project... I seem to get my share of "Creations Gone Wrong" all the time and I am the first to admit I get frustrated- really, really frustrated!!! It seems like such a waste of time and money.
I thought of an idea that might make all of us feel better about these bad results- if nothing else, it will give all of you "Perfect Crafters" something to laugh at! I call it The Craftastrophies Club, and you all are invited to join!!!
The next time you catch yourself frustrated, mad, throwing projects across the room or stuffing "dinner" in the trash, I want you to cry about it, laugh about it, then blog about it!
We can all have fun together... one messed up project at a time!!!
Here are the rules just to make sure we are all playing fair:
1. Link to your specific CRAFTASTROPHY, not the main page of your blog, unless your entire blog is one big disaster! Non-relevant blog posts and giveaway announcements will be deleted.
2. Choose your favorite "Official Club Badge" and add it to your blog so everyone can get in on the fun.
This link party will end on Saturday, July 31st. If you are viewing this party after that date and would like to enter a link, please email me.

Oh I will DEFINITELY be taking part in this one!
ReplyDeleteI have sooooo been there!! I am grabbing the button!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is frightening!
ReplyDeleteI just attempted to make my first craft project last week and it turned out like crap!
I tossed it!
I love it! I'm in! I'm getting my crafty blog set up in the next 48 hours and I'll grab the button as soon as it's done!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way....so glad to know I'm not the only one to have the sudden urge to throw a project across the room no matter the ramifications!!! =)
Oh dear. lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! Just found about it so I'm going to have to remember to participate in the future. I KNOW I can join in! haha

This happens to me more times than not!!!! It's pathetic! Mostly with baking! I hate it I never get it right yet I still try and try again. I started blaming my oven!
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a fun party!! it made me laugh...until I realized my craft was the ugliest of them all! lol I think people are holding out...
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny and cute.
ReplyDeleteAh! I love it! I have SOOOO many of these! I do have one that I can't throw away, and someday when I get the energy again I'll re-do, but that dresser that I made for the baby just didn't seem right. Something felt off (literally). About a month later when I was cleaning the garage I noticed that BOTH cans of white where Primer! I put on TONS of primer coats and no actually paint!!!! I had to laugh at that one. I just want someone else to take the whole thing apart and repaint it for me!
ReplyDeleteHaha. The buttons crack me up! I have a story to add (and probably could have many more down the road). Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I have no problem posting about my fabulous flops! I figure that creating is 90% trial and error anyway, so what not share the trials and errors!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea -- I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea & I love the buttons!! :)

ReplyDeleteNow THIS is my kind of party!!!!
ReplyDeletethis is too funny... now i'm sorry i haven't taken pix of all my flops!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have found this party- I was wondering if I was the only person who had these things happen! I come up with new bad words in my head when things are going horribly wrong, so I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has crafting disasters and gets frustrated!!!!
