My Master Bathroom

I decided to focus on my master bathroom for this week's challenge. This is the bathroom that is most-used in my house- we still have little kids, so baths are taken in here, teeth are brushed in here, hair is done in here, and there are random toys and fingerprints all over to prove it!

I took before pictures, but they looked too similar to the after pictures because you can't tell through the camera how dirty our bathroom was, so the before pictures were pointless, but here is what I did:

First, I did a deep clean. Everything got a good scrub- tub, counter, shower, toilet, floors... it is all sparkling clean!

Then, I de-cluttered. I got rid of some bath toys, went through the cabinets and tossed old meds and random Q-Tips and Bobby Pins. (Does anyone else find those things in every drawer of their bathroom or is it just me?)

Finally, I decorated with some new rugs!!! Here is what our old ones look like:

(They were white when we bought them 4 years ago!)

Here are the new ones:

So soft and fluffy, I want to take a nap on them. I bought off-white/grey ones so they hopefully wont look so dingy so fast- you can't tell the color too well in the picture, buts its pretty and matches our tile very well! And whats even better was the price I got them for! I was shopping around all week and at both Target and WalMart the ones I wanted were about $15 each- and I needed 2 (actually I wanted 4, but I was only going to get 2). So yesterday I went to Marshalls and found a 2 pack for $10!!! So I got 4- sweet huh?!?!?!

So there is my master bathroom!

Here is me-

(Hi!)

  2. I went into this month fully intending to participate in this challenge each week. I got as far as half way through week one and life got in the way. XD My desk/office area is still in ruins with trash, random finds, and boxes (we are moving).

I find hairbands and bobby pins ALL OVER! I toss them thinking I have plenty more and don't need these stretched out or bent ones. I suppose that is why I buy 100 new hairbands and 150 bobby pins every three months or so. :P

Great job on the bathroom! I love the new rugs' color (and your whole master bathroom for that matter)!
