Lolly Jane Boutique

Every so often I come across a site and think to myself, "How have I not seen this great blog before?!" Such is the case with the blog I want to feature today. Please meet Kelli...

 Kelli is one of the creative twin sisters blogging at Lolly Jane Boutique
Lolly Jane was started years ago for the 2 sister's vinyl lettering business, but has recently taken a different turn and now showcases so much more!  Its one creative site chalk full of fun ideas!

I met Kelli at The AZ Tour de Thrift last month and I wish we could have chatted just a bit more!
When I got from that event, I went to her site and spent the next few hours browsing and bookmarking ideas to feature. Here are some of the projects I fell in love with from Lolly Jane:

A simple 12x12 frame with some cute vinyl in the lower letf corner, tied up with a bow & given as a great gift for a graduate!

A cute place to display quotes, pictures or other items that inspire you.

A simple, yet DARLING, baby shower gift!

Made by painting over an old canvas- I LOVE THIS!

This entire project only cost $3.46! I want one!

And the last project from Lolly Jane I want to share is so neat!
I decided to feature the entire tutorial- soda lovers, you will now have something to make over the weekend.
Look at this bracelet made from Soda Pop Tabs!!!

Supplies:
20-25 tabs depending on your wrist size.
Twine, ribbon, string or elastic to hold the tabs together.
Scissors.

{Step 1-4 shown below}
Step 1: Measure 30" of ribbon.
Step 2: Loop ribbon through center of tab #1.
Step 3: Hold tab #2 UNDER tab #1 with backsides facing each other {the smooth side will be against your wrist so you don't scratch yourself when you're wearing it.}
Step 4: Thread cord from tab #1 UNDER tab #2, keeping the top ribbon in the top hole & the bottom ribbon in the bottom hole.

{Step 5-6 shown below}
Step 5: Bring the ribbons back through tab #1, keeping the top ribbon in the top hole still & the bottom ribbon in the bottom hole.
Step 6: Criss cross the ribbons, threading the top ribbon through the bottom hole in tab #3 and threading the bottom ribbon through the top hole in tab #3.
*Repeat this technique until you're at your desired bracelet length.  When I used elastic I was able to just tie a knot to finish it off.  If you're using ribbon you can tie it in a big bow at the end on the outside of the new bracelet.*

After your new eco-friendly bracelet is complete, change it out with rosettes, flowers, etc.

How fun is that?!?

  1. The pop top bracelet - I've never seen anything like it, but I like it. Especially the one with the pink flower. I may have to try and create a dry erase frame too. It gives a new spin to a boring board. :o)
