To the Parents of the brattiest kid at McDonalds tonight...

I don't know what was more annoying, your 5 year old son (with girly hair) who insisted on taking over each and every video game (even when someone was already playing with it), or the way the 2 of you handled each situation by getting 2 inches from the innocent children's faces with fingers pointed at their tearing eyes as you yell at them to "share. " Seriously. They don't need to "share", your son needs to back off and wait his turn!!!

With that said, if you ever make my son cry again by your bullying antics, I will follow you home and sick my posse of creative readers on you. We will hot glue your entire trailer shut and mod podge your car. You've messed with the wrong mom (who happens to be majorly PMSing tonight!) and I won't stand for it. Your son needs discipline and you need clothes that cover those disgusting tatoos. Now kiss your cousin goodnight, promise us all you won't procreate anymore and consider yourselves warned...

  1. Oh man!! I'm so sorry they made your son cry! If I ever get into a situation like that it won't be pretty. It seems hardly any kids have real discipline these days. *sigh*

  2. Your poor son. I hope he's okay, but you go girl.

  3. Whoa. That must have been a sight to see. If I was there, I am sure I would have been equally irate and also crying tears of laughter at your commentary.

  4. you go momma!! I'll be the one applying the mod podge to the car :)

  6. I once had a 7th grader knock my 5yr old off a game at the pizza place. When he noticed I was watching he ran off. As I leaped at him,I caught the handle bar of his bike and gave him a piece of my mind. He cursed at me and left. The next day I spent the afternoon going through year books at thr jr.high. I found the lil'snot.Told the school,His parents and anyone else who would listen. Now it seems a little overboard. But at the time.Grrrrrr I was hoping mad!!
FYI I'll pack the glue gun and the heat.

  7. Oh wow. Heating up my glue gun now!!
Thanks for sharing. Had to read your post out loud to hubby. :)

  8. I'm sorry that your son was yelled at. That is a horrible situation and those are horrible parents to do that. I just have to say that not everyone with tattoos are bad people or have bad kids. My kids are very polite and very good kids and me and my husband both have tattoos (mine is actually my kids names so I cant see how that would be disgusting). Again I am sorry for the way your son was treated but that stereotype hurts a lot of really good people.

  9. I hate it when parents think their kids are angels and never do anything wrong..when they are BRATS! Who do they think they are telling other peoples children what to do?!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just to clarify, I have no issues with tattoos- this lady and man however had disgusting ones- very crude and inappropriate! Tasteful tatoos are fine by me!

  11. I'm sorry Steph- I've had my own issues at McDonald's that I've felt like crap for. I was at McDonald's tonight with my boys, and I was honestly thinking "oh crap my kids weren't bratty tonight with someone else's kids, were they??" ;)

  12. Thank you for clerifying :) I hope your son is okay and that those parents will learn that their son is the one that needs some manners!

  13. I'm so sorry that happened with your son and you - but, I have to say this was probably one of THE funniest posts I've ever ready!

I got my glue gun - point me in the right direction!

  14. Oh Steph!! I'm so sorry this happened, but I your last paragraph made me laugh out loud! Bring on the hot glue guns and mod podge!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. You tell 'em! I will bring extra Mod Podge and it will be matte because people like that don't deserve gloss!

{hugz} to your son... my grandkids would have offered to bring him into the games to make him feel better!

And big {hugz} to you! ♥

  16. OOhh that woman would shake her fingers in my kids face one time and that would be it cause I would haul my big hillbilly butt right over there and show her where she could shake her finger! That makes me mad! GRRRRR!

That said, I agree that there does seem to be many kids nowadays with no discipline, which is very sad. That little boy with the girly hair will just keep taking cause he can and grow up to be a bully.

    ReplyDelete
  17. No No No No No ... See you just point me in the direction cause this momma has no issue saying this to their face in public! lol Something similar happened at a mcd's near me with my youngest sister who was 6 at the time and let me tell you some heads were rolling in a very nice way due to the children all around.

I DARE someone to do that to my son when he is older ANYWHERE. I have issues with adults who think they are big and bad because they talk down to children. Not to mention um if it's not your kid and your not either a. related to me or b. my best friend or fellow very well known mommy hanging with me. You discipline my kid and I am going to be breaking something off in a not so pleasant area where the sun never shines... (well for most people) :P

Hope it never happens to you guys again!

    ReplyDelete
  18. grrrrr.... I HATE that. I hope you told them to knock it off. I've never had that experience with an adult yet, but I did have to tell some kids to back off a few times, when their parents were NO WHERE in sight. Sheesh. sorry, sistah!

  19. My husband is even offering to pack a glue gun (about the only time he would be caught dead with one!)

    ReplyDelete
  20. haha..omg...well, I'm sorry to hear about that but your response just made me laugh real hard!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sometimes I love it when calm moms let it loose on their blog! This was great! While I bet the situation was not pretty, I am thoroughly loving this post! Don't cross Steph!

  22. have glue gun, will travel. Procreators like that ruin evenings out for nice families.

  23. YIKES...someone you don't know made your child cry?? Some "parents" never cease to amaze me.
My Brother-in-law always says, "You need a license to have a dog, but anyone can have a kid"....so true!
Protect your babies, and call on us readers to help if you need us!

  24. Amen, amen. :) There was a mean little imp there last time we were there too. And tattoos. And quite a bit of nasty cleavage, for that matter. Are you sure we weren't there at the same time???

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've always said, if you want to find trashy ignorant people, go to walmart or mcdonalds. I avoid both like the plague.

With that said, what exactly is "girly" hair? and i'm glad you clarified that the tats they had were vulgar.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You go girl! I would have probably have said something to the parents along the lines of,"Well if my son needs to share then so does yours, now back away from my kid before I get management back here."

There must be something going around because I just had a friend of 10 years tell me that she doesn't like to hang out with me anymore because of how I'm raising my boys. I just had to laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  27. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!! I have so been there!! Although, if they yelled at my kid, I would have been in thier face saying everything you wrote and more to thier faces. I probably also would have told thier kid to back off and wait his turn. The sad part is, its not the kids fault that he is this way, its the parents fault for not disciplining him. Way to go!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wow, I hope you said something to them right then and there. NO ONE messes with my kids, and I have no problem telling bratty kids or jerky parents to back off. I have had to in many cases. Once at a church function this little boy kept trying to bully my 4 yo. I had no issues telling him not to touch my son and to get away NOW.

Your kids, your right to protect as needed!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh now THAT is funny! NOT the situation, but your solution to the problem!! I've been looking for a big mod podge project & feel up to a car!! hee, hee!!

  30. What a witch!!! As horrible of a situation as that sounds, your story telling cracked me up!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hate the situation. Love the post.

    Sandi

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh boy! You've handled the situation far better than I would have. 'Course I haven't seen you with a glue gun in hand in person--sounds dangerous!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ha!!!!lmao! You told her!

Some people should not be parents.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I know exactly the "people" you are talking about. Do you ever feel like they're taking over your town, park, etc. and you (the responsible parent) are in the minority? Just let me know if you ever need backup. I'll be there - armed with my pink-handled thread scissors (they're tiny, but super-sharp)!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yikes. I don't blame you one bit for being ticked off. How awful. You're right - we've got your back....I'm packin' glue sticks and am not afraid to use 'em!

    ReplyDelete
  36. EEEEERRRRRRRRR....my blood pressure is rising! Been there...but I didn't just sit there like you did (you're good!). I probably didn't help things any but I felt better. lol I just stepped up and asked if there was a problem and it seemed like things just kind of settled when they knew that I wasn't going to allow bullying out of them...GROW UP!!! I cannot stand that some parents these days are raising their children to be just like them- "what does everybody owe me?" and "violence first". Love that someone said about managment (let's hope that they weren't management letting their kids play). Thankfully, our McD's is A-Ok!!!

Oh...I'll be there too, with my rubber boots on!

  37. It floors me what some people are willing to do. It seems that there is always at least one kid at places like that that ruin it for everyone else. And they are always the kids who's parents are equally as jerky or oblivious to the situation! I would have been mad and not done anything about it. I'm passive agressive! But my momma bear instinct is revved up for you!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've always had a problem with one child playing with a toy and someone telling them to share-I always have my children say can I play with that when you're done....well, they may not always say that, but I'm trying :) ....I can't believe these parents tried to pass off their kids bad behavior on others not sharing-crazy! Sorry you had a tough time-it's hard to understand how someone could do something like that when we'd never dream of it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. LOVE. IT! I hope you said some of that (maybe not the modge podge threats) to them in the restaurant. Nothing feels better than shaming someone in public when they are being a public neusance!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Another child being raised to feel that he is 'entitled'..and all he will have is a life of hell. Don't want to get started, as I raised 2 stepsons who were (key word - were) being raised in that same way.
Let me glue the trailer, please?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, good thing I wasn't there...a finger in my child's face and they would have me IN THEIR faces!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. That's so sad.
I actually yelled at and followed a guy out of a restaurant when he grabbed his 6-8 yr old son by the back of the neck to get him out the door.
In the old days we all got disciplined by any adult who was standing around. I think it's time to get back to that again.

    ReplyDelete
  43. HA!!!! Thank you for the great laugh!!! You get 'em mom!!! No one messes with a mama bear's cubs (that's what I always tell my kids when someone picks on them). Some people should not be allowed to reproduce. Just sayin...

    ReplyDelete
  44. btw, I really hope you told them where to go for making your child cry because of their animal of a kid!

    ReplyDelete
  45. You showed amazing restraint! They would have had to pull me off of those ignorant parents.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jeff would have gotten up right there and had some words with them. Poor girl. I laughed my cheeks off reading your post. HILARIOUS. I would also volunteer my hot glueing skills....To their heads :) Love you dear friend.

    ReplyDelete
  47. You have me laughing my head off! The only thing I would have done different is tear into them right then and there! I can't believe they made him cry! Oh I would have been sooo mad!

    ReplyDelete
  48. LOL! I love it... what a great way to vent!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm sorry for the lil' kiddos who have to deal with bullies. Just today, one of my friends said that she may keep her son out of public school when she heard that a real lil' meanie missed the cut-off for this year's kindergarten and may join her son's class next year. Her son is a doll! Your lil' Mickey D bully will probably end up living next to me in 13 years...where he will drive way too fast and blare his bass! Ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I can't stand brats.. or parents who can't discipline. It makes me want to take off my belt & spank them myself! ha!

..and I got a laugh out of your venting as well!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Honestly Steph, I am surprised you didn't haul off and smack her. If I was there I would have held your pop while you smacked her.

Next time text me and I am on it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yikes! Mean people are crappy. That would be awesome if you could sick all your readers on them. They wouldn't know what hit them!

  53. LMAO...one of the funniest blog posts I've ever read! ha ha ha ha ha. I had to re read a bit though, I was confused on who the mom was pointing at...your kid?! OH NO, don't you dare yell at my kid or I might spank you! LMAO... seriously though, did you say anything to her?!!!!
