Of all the Thanksgiving ideas I saw this year, this project was my favorite!
I was trying to come up with a fun activity to do with my kids that made them think about all their blessings. Not only is this a great activity for some quality family time, it is also a fantastic decoration. The minute I saw it featured on Jen's site, I knew I had to do it! I went out the very next day and bought all my supplies and planned to make it with my family the next week for Family Home Evening. As luck would have it, that was 3 weeks ago and I still have all the contents in my Hobby Lobby bag because life happens and we got super busy. I had to change it up a bit and decided we would make this together on Thanksgiving morning and instead of a mantel garland, it will lay as a centerpiece for our Thanksgiving table. Fun, right?!
For the full tutorial, you'll have to visit Tatertots and Jello, but here is a sneak peak of all the fun elements that made this garland so pretty:
Do you love it!?!?!? Then stop by and tell Jen thanks for this awesome idea!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

OOH, I can actually do this! I've looked at a lot of garlands, and they either used materials I didn't have or they didn't have the look I was desiring for my Fall decorations! This is amazing. We are kinda' snowed in today, so now I know what we'll add to our holiday decor!
ReplyDeleteI've got a case of the bah-humbugs this year and didn't plan on doing any decorating for any of the holidays...this garland may have just changed my mind. Toooo cute!

Lovely garland. In my humble opinion, Fall never lasts long enough.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - I just saw this. Thanks so much Steph. You are the best!
