Hi Everyone, it's Brandi from Tweedle Dee Designs and I'm so excited to be back to share another super fun and easy cupcake tutorial! Now as I'm sure you all know, I love cupcakes, but I also love to play around with easy ways to decorate them. This month I'll be sharing a few different techniques for easy fondant decorations.

{Simple Fondant Shapes}
For easy fondant shapes, take a small amount of fondant and roll it out using your fondant roller to approximately 1/8". Cut out shapes, lay on a sheet of wax paper and allow to dry over night. Add some sparkle to your fondant shapes by applying a small amount of sugar syrup with a paint brush and sprinkle with a little rainbow disco dust.
{Fondant Rose}
Making a fondant rose is easy. First, you need to make a fondant cone for the base of your rose, you will want to let your cone dry before attaching your petals. Next, roll out your fondant to approximately 1/16" and cut out several small circles for your rose petals. Keep in mind that the size of your circle cutter depends on how big you want your flower to be. Using your ball tool and shaping foam, gently roll the ball tool along the edges of your fondant circle to create a petal. This part may take a little practice, but once you try it you will get the hang of it. To attach your petals, apply a small amount of sugar syrup to your petal and wrap around your fondant cone. With the first one you will be creating your rose bud. Finally, apply the rest of your petals to form your rose, the more layers you add the bigger your rose will become. The rose I made has about five petals. Let your rose dry before adding it to your cupcake.
{Rolled Fondant Rose Bouquet}
{Rolled Fondant Rose Bouquet}
I love these rolled fondant roses, they are super simple to make and add a whimsical touch to your cupcake. First, roll out a rectangular piece of fondant to approximately 1/8" thick, then fold in half length wise. Next, start rolling your fondant to shape your rose, make sure to not roll it too tightly. Finally, create some fondant leaves and let dry before placing on top of your cupcake.
