I'm excited to have Brandi back at Somewhat Simple for this month and when you see the post she put together for all of you today, you'll see why!

St. Patrick's Day is almost here, so I've put together a few fun ideas for adults and kids to celebrate this lucky day! Following Bakerella's technique, I made these scrumptious little bites of heaven. They're dipped in white chocolate and decorated with green sugar sprinkles, there's even a little surprise inside!
They're rainbow colors inside! Sweet and sophisticated on the outside and ready for a party on the inside.
For the adults I made Irish Creme Shooters (whipped chocolate ganache with a hint of Irish Creme) and added a little gold disco dust for luck. I also picked out an assortment of Irish beer that will entice the gentlemen to join the festivities.
Green is the traditional color of choice for St. Patty's Day decor, but I thought adding a punch of color would be more fun. I fell in love with the rainbow cake created by Kaitlin of Whisk Kid and wanted to give it a try. I made miniature versions of this adorable cake using a cupcake pan instead of the 9" round that Kaitlin suggested and frosted with my go to buttercream recipe.
Here's my attempt at Kaitlin's version. As you can see it didn't turn out, but made for a cool photo.
Everyone needs a good luck charm and these pom pom buddies are something fun and easy for the kids to make and give out to their friends. All you need are green, white or gold glitter craft poms, foam clover stickers, googly eyes and craft glue, make sure to add one of our free printable decorative flags.
I was looking for dessert inspiration and came across this Rainbow Jell-O recipe from Kyla of Funky Polkadot Giraffe. To make this miniautre version, cut Kyla's recipe in half and layer Jell-O in votive candle holders or shot glasses.
Striped paper straws are a fun way to incorporate color into your party, I purchased these from Shop Sweet Lulu. If you haven't visited this amazing shop, it's a must.
