Ribbon Frame Bow Holder

I rescued this frame!

Poor yucky gold thing sitting broken on the shelf at Ross just waiting to be dumped into a landfill!
No seriously, how ugly is this?!? It was a shadow box with some ugly doll furniture glued to some ripped paper... can't get much worse than this! But then you throw it into a plastic gold frame and it just did- it got worse.

The poor frame caught my eye and I know I could've gotten something cheaper for this project somewhere else, but wouldn't you want to give this guy another chance too?!

So I painted it black, then painted it yellow. I sanded some of the yellow off to have the black show through. I added some cute colored ribbon and the ugly ducking has turned into a cute bow holder!!!
