Weaved Ribbon Wipee Case

A couple years ago I bought a bunch of matching ribbon on clearance in fun fall colors. I thought I would make some cute bows or something, and I did make a few, but Leah only needs so many orange bows! (In fact I don't think she ever wore the ones I did make her because orange is not the most popular color in her closet!)

I decided I wanted to use this ribbon for a craft where I could use them altogether- alone the ribbons are kind of blah, but together they are darling!

Over the weekend I had the idea to make this:

I basically just covered a wipee case with some old white fabric by following the steps here. Then I got friendly with my hot glue gun and went to town weaving the ribbon on both sides of the case! It was easy, and I love how it turned out! I usually give these away at baby showers, and I have 2 coming up this next month, but I think I want this one for myself!

  5. Very creative and cute! I love how you used up stuff you had but were not using and made it so...useful! I have a TON of ribbon and two boys. I make bows but I have a big box to give away at showers. I really needed more ideas that are gender neutral. Thanks!
