Get Creative- Week 5

This weeks challenge is this darling little craft:

A "CRAYON COZY"

I have seen these popping up like crazy all over crafting websites and I can't help but think how cute they are and how easy they look to make. I would love each of my kids to have their own to take to church- much quieter than the plastic baggie of crayons currently residing in my church bag!

My SIL and I wanted to make these over the summer and never got around to it, so I figured if I made it a challenge, you will all inspire me and it will finally get done!

I am going to use the tutorial from Skip to My Lou because I like her site and her picture is darling! But you can find them on many different craft sites in a ton of varieties- make the spaces wider for fat crayons, make them smaller but longer for colored pencils, make a smock from a dollar store placemat and edge the bottom with one of these... the list can go on and on!

Anyway, have fun this week and make sure you post about it! If you haven't added your name to our link list, do so on the bottom of the blog! Have a good week!

  1. I love making these. They do take a little bit of time, but are well worth it! I have sold them and also just made them for my boys and friend and neices and nephews. Such a fun project!!

My sewing machine is broken and I couldn't do last weeks, and now I can't do this!

This may be the push I needed to get my machine in the shop!
